Puppy Mabel and her little playmate are having a great time, but Chewy is off to the side watching them with a toy in his mouth. The Newfoundland continues watching his puppy sister Mabel wrestle with a French Bulldog for a long time. The clip from @chewythenewfoundland catches Chewy’s expression before he drops the toy and looks over at the other two with obvious disappointment. Chewy gives up waiting and starts playing with the flower on his own. Then Mabel comes over. Suddenly, the big dog has company, and the puppies are no longer getting to play without him.

Mabel and the French Bulldog are busy wrestling, with Chewy watching from a few feet away. He is holding the flower plushie, apparently hoping someone will notice him and the toy. Neither one pays him any attention. So, he drops the toy and keeps staring at the two puppies.
Rather than keep waiting, Chewy nudges the flower with his nose and lies down to play with it himself. Every so often, he looks back at the other dogs, including one very obvious side eye. There’s even a zoomed-in shot of that piercing look.
Mabel eventually wanders over to him. As soon as she reaches him, the flower toy stops mattering, and Chewy rolls over to her. The two start mouthing and playing together, and Chewy is immediately more animated. His big smile says a lot about how quickly his mood changes when Mabel gives him some attention.

Chewy is much bigger than the puppies, but he still wants in on whatever game they are playing. And at long last, the lonely-looking big dog gets exactly what he wanted: puppies to play with.
