A heartwarming dog backyard best friend moment is winning hearts after Frankie found his perfect playmate right along the fence. Shared by @adoptedwithfrankie five days ago, the video shows Frankie, a 2-year-old rescue dog from St. Louis, racing alongside his neighbor’s rescue pup, Isa. As their families watch from either side, the two dogs transform the fence line into their own shared playground.

The Instagram reel begins with the on-screen caption, “POV: your first backyard came with a built-in best friend.” Frankie and Isa stand on opposite sides of a black fence while their humans wait nearby. Someone says, “Ready, set, go,” and the two pups immediately start running along the grass together.

The dog backyard best friend setup looks simple, but the excitement makes it special. Frankie keeps pace with Isa as they sprint beside the fence, turn around, and chase each other again. The caption says, “Grandpa Gerald is lucky to have the best neighbors… and Frankie knows it!” The account also called Isa their “fav rescue pup.”

Frankie’s profile describes him as a rescue dog, while the post hashtags confirm Frankie is a Pit Bull. Isa also appears to be a rescue pup, based on the caption. Their behavior shows how social dogs can create games from almost anything. A fence may separate their yards, but it also gives them a track for daily zoomies.

The grass along the fence may not survive this friendship for long. Still, the reel makes that damage feel worth it. One viewer wrote, “Awww this is so sweet ?” Another joked, “You can kiss that grass along the fence good by! ”

Others loved the timing, writing, “The running at the same pace is too cute” and “I would just make it to where they can get through the gate to each other so they can play.” One commenter summed it up best: “lol those pups somehow plotted this moving next to each other. Living their best life. ???”
