A dog named Comet wants her peanut butter refill, thus setting the record straight in front of her mom in this hilarious Instagram video from user @peachycomet22. In the video, the Golden Retriever stands in the kitchen holding an empty jar in her mouth.
The dog looks like she is showing up to customer service with a receipt, without pacing or whining. Comet just stares at her mom in hopes that she would understand her peanut butter needs.

In the video, the dog stands still before her mom for a peanut butter refill while the on-screen text says, “She would like a refill,” and the caption adds, “She came prepared.” And this preparation is Comet’s empty jar — one that she would like the refill in.
Her owner plays along, asking, “Is there something I can help you with today? Do you want some peanut butter?” Then she asks for the jar, and Comet responds immediately by dropping it on the floor with a loud clunk. After doing so, she can be seen awkwardly staring at her parent.
Viewers loved the theatrics of it all. Many users pointed out “the drop and look,” while others translated Comet’s body language and the jar drop with, “That is a YES!!!” Moreover, many viewers begged her owner to top it off, saying it was “so cute that she brings you her empty little jar,” and asking, “What’s taking you so long??!!!”
As funny as it is, the Golden Retriever’s little refill request comes from her ability to learn routines fast, especially when food is in the picture. So, if Comet has gotten peanut butter from that same jar before, she likely connects the object with the treat. Bringing it over to her mom is a polite cue to get a response from her. You can’t argue with the dog’s method if you tried.
