You might have a comfort item — say a pillow or a stuffed toy — that you sleep with. Now, imagine not having your “emotional support” item while you go to sleep. That’s exactly how a dog named Holly felt when her owner didn’t hand her the comfort toy in a bittersweet Instagram video.

User @hollythebluestaffy shared the clip of the Blue Staffy as she lies on her bed with the lights off, looking sad. The onscreen text explains the reason behind her sorrow. It reads, “POV: Your dog is upset at you because you took too long to deliver her nap time moo cow.”

Staffy is ‘upset’ because her bedtime toy is not with her

In the video, the dog doesn’t bark or fuss for the toy. Instead, she just gives her owner a silent and wounded stare that says, “How could you do this to me?” When the owner turns the light on, you can see Holly curled on her blanket in a cozy little nook, looking like she is waiting for room service.

Then the owner spots the Staffy’s moo cow toy on the floor. They pick it up and give it to the dog. The second it lands in her paws, Holly pulls it close and wraps her arms around it like it is her most precious possession. The owner chuckles, gives her ear rubs, and the video ends with peace restored.

Even so, the owner apologizes in the caption, writing, “My apologies Holly girl. I’ll do better next time. I know nap time isn’t the same without your moo cow.”

Holly’s behavior is relatable to a lot of dog owners. Pups often get attached to one “special” toy, especially for bedtime. It becomes part of their routine, like a security blanket. When that routine changes, some pets, like Holly, just sulk dramatically until they find a reason for joy again — which may or may not be another toy.
